A Federal High Court in Borno has ruled that the 313 suspected terrorists who were detained by the military must be released.
Maj. Gen. Buba Edward, Director of Defense Media Operations, claims that their release was mandated due to insufficient information that could be used to identify the suspects following an inquiry.
He made this revelation on Thursday in Abuja at the operational briefing.
He said, “The court ordered the release for want of evidence after the conclusion of investigation and other ancillary matters.
“Accordingly, they would be handed over to the Borno State Government for further action.”
