The Osun State Police command has revealed that it has enhanced the states security in a bid to ensure an inch free Eid-el-fitr celebration.
This was contained in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola.
The statement reads, “The Osun State Police Command has put in place adequate security arrangement to ensure that this year’s EID EL-FITR celebration and the holidays slated for 9th to 10th April, 2024, is celebrated peacefully without any hitch as Muslim Faithfuls and other well wishers all over the country are expected to observe EID-EL-FITR festival marking the end of the Ramadan fast.
“The Commissioner of Police Osun State Police Command is assuring the good people of the State and all travelers, of the readiness and preparedness of the State Command to guarantee the safety of lives and property in all major and strategic locations during this period and beyond.
“Just as he is assuring the people of the State, most importantly commuters plying the highways of appropriate visibility policing and constant vehicular patrols, he is equally advising the motorists/motorcyclists (Okada) to drive/ride carefully especially in this festive period while plying the highways.
