EndBadGovernanace Protesters observes Juma’at prayer at barricade

As the #EndBadGovernance protest enters second day on Friday, Muslims amongst protesters observed their regular Friday two rakat prayer openly at the Olaiya flyover, Osogbo, Osun State capital.

The prayer was led by one of the protesters.

The protesters had earlier stormed the streets  of Osogbo in protest to press home their demands from the government.

They converged at Old Garage and matched to Olaiya flyover as security operatives accompanied them and strategically positioned throughout the area to ensure the safety of the protesters and maintain law and order.

Speaking with at the sideline of the protest, the convener, Nigerians for Good Governance, Wole Adedapo called for the reversal of the fuel subsidy removal, a halt to the devaluation of the naira and improved governance at all levels.

Adedapo criticized the Federal Government’s policies, stating that they have led to widespread poverty and hunger.

“What are the demands: reverse fuel subsidy, stop devaluation of our naira, open the borders until we are able to sufficiently provide in terms of agriculture food for our needs once this are done we have respite.”
