The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, October 1, 2024, a public holiday to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.
This announcement was made by Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, through a statement issued by Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary in the ministry.
In his declaration, Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of unity in building a better Nigeria. “A Nigeria of our dream can only be built when we unite.”
While congratulating Nigerians for their sacrifices towards nation-building, he urged citizens to remain steadfast in their efforts to build a stronger nation.
