The Governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke has expressed deep shock over the death of Alhaji Tohir Aderemi Sanni, the husband of his sister, Dupe Adeleke Sanni.

This was contained in a statement by the Commissioner of Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, on Sunday.

The statement reads, “Governor Adeleke commiserates with his sister, Yeyeluwa Dupe Adeleke Sanni, and the entire Sanni family over the loss of such a dear nice, kind, and easygoing father figure.

“Governor Ademola Adeleke recalled with nostalgia the many contributions of the 74-year-old late Alhaji Sanni, particularly his exemplary lifestyle as a good father, great, and grandfather, who did a lot for the growth and development of Islam and humanity in general.

“Governor Adeleke also acknowledged and appreciated the many contributions of the late Baba Sanni to him personally, especially during the struggle to become the Executive Governor of Osun state.

“He prayed Allah to grant him Aljanatul-Firdaus just as he urged the family he left behind to take solace in the fact that he lived a good life.

“Burial takes place this evening at Challenge area, Ibadan by 4:00 pm”
