As part of measures embarked on to ensure that Health Care Providers deliver qualitative health services in the state, the Osun Health Insurance Agency, OSHIA, on Wednesday, distributed medical and quality equipment to government health care providers.
Equipments distributed by the Agency include the Dental Ultrasonic Machine for S&P, Wheelchairs, Delivery Couch, Operating Couch, Spectrophotometer, Phototherapy for Neonate, Suctioning machine and a host of others.
Speaking at the event which was held at the OHIS Secretariat, Abeere, the OSHIA , executive secretary, Dr Razaq Akindele, noted that the distribution of the equipment is aimed at assisting government hospitals in providing the best service to the Agency’s enrollees.
Akindele said’ “we shall be presenting all these materials to various government hospitals to assist you in your operations in giving the best to our enrollees and all patients that comes to the hospital and I promise that also very soon we’ll be extending the same gesture to our private sectors”
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Health, Barr. Jola Akintola, in his good will message, urged all benefiting hospital to judiciously utilities the equipment in providing excellent service delivery.
His words “It is important to also note that the distribution of these quality improvement materials signifies our unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare excellence, as these materials have been meticulously curated to equip our healthcare providers with the tools and resources necessary to deliver high-quality care to every enrollee / patient they serve.
“These qualities are the foundation upon which we build a healthier and more resilient society.
Consequent upon the foregoing, therefore, we encourage all benefiting facilities to reciprocate this kind gesture of the agency by ensuring that these materials translate into qualitative service delivery to residents of the state.”
However , the Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, reiterated his commitment in supporting the Agency and the health sector at large, adding that his administration will continue prioritizing provision of adequate health care to the public.
He said, “We will continue to ensure that Osun people have access to quality and affordable healthcare, irrespective of their socio-economic status”
