The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday has embarked on his 11th foreign trip to United Kingdom in 2024.
It could be recalled that Tinubu opened 2024 foreign trip by visit travelling to France after which he travelled to Ethiopia and Qatar in February.
He was equally in Senegal, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia in April.
After which he traveled to Chad in May, while in August Tinubu visited France, China and departed for the United KIngdom on September 6.
Subsequently, the Special Adviser to the President, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Wednesday, stated that the President will embark on a two week vacation.
According to him, the President will use the two weeks as a working vacation and will return to the country as soon as his leave expires.
“He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms. He will return to the country after the leave expires.”
Meanwhile, the President trip has always been marked with controversies bothering around traveling expenses, health issues, among others.
Recall that a portal documenting the Presidential Villa expenditures, revealed that the President splashed N2.3 billion on foreign trips and related expenses within six months.
